Stereolithography (SLA 3D printing) is ideal if you’re after highly detailed models, prototypes and patterns.
This process is also often known as ‘resin printing’, optical fabrication, or photo-solidification. It’s a speedy type of 3D printing that can be used to make practically any design. The downside is it’s not the most affordable technique, so it is better if you have a bigger budget.
3D Revolution regularly delivers high detail SLA 3D printing for all kinds of projects, including:
- prototypes for new items
- medical models
- computer hardware
Our SLA 3D printing is brilliant for detailed models which are strong, flexible and durable.
We regularly use high detail resin for this type of printing. This material is ideal for those who need a clean surface finish, sharp details, and excellent flexibility. You can achieve fine features with the smooth, injection mold-like surface finish. Because support marks may be visible on the surface, it’s not recommended for functional parts.
3D Revolution works with clients across the UK looking to have both SLA 3D printing and FDM (fused deposition modeling)_printing. The latter is ideal if you need parts straight away.
